888.566.8303Columbus, MS - The CPI Group, Inc. along with Columbus-Lowndes Development LINK hosted a two session lunch and learn workshop at the Columbus Lowndes Public Library on how to deal with difficult people. The speaker was Tom Wagner. The attendees learned how difficult people think, what they fear, and why they do what they do. Some specific topics were what to do when someone- even a boss -starts yelling, dealing with touchy people who take things personally, how to get someone to quit procrastinating and make a decision, how to deal with "know it alls", how to determine if a difficult relationship is worth salvaging and what to do if it isn't.
Tom Wagner commented "I believe the Lunch and Learn was very well attended and I thoroughly enjoyed both sessions. It was interesting to see which groups some attendees belonged in because after making first impressions you would not think some belonged in the category they fell in."
Mark Smith of CPI commented "This event was the most well attended Lunch and Learn we have ever hosted. Never have we been in a position to have to conduct back to back workshops so we thank all the attendees very much for coming. We can put on programs, bring in speakers and lunch/snacks, but if they are poorly attended, the investment made is not as justifiable. The attendee's time is an investment as well and all of us here at CPI appreciate it."
