Market Street Festival

Columbus, MS - The CPI Group, Inc was proud to sponsor the 14th annual Market Street Festival along with 45 other local companies. Main Street Columbus, the organization that puts the festival together every year, reaches out to sponsors to help make this event happen. Market Street Festival is proud to have been named as a Top 20 Event in the Southeast by the Southeast Tourism Society for ten consecutive years. Despite some inclement weather conditions, attendance exceeded 30,000. The Festival puts on events for all ages; from great musical acts, activities for children and streets filled with vendors. The Market Street Festival continues to show people what Southern hospitality is all about.

In all, Main Street Columbus raised more than $40,000 this year. The money raised will be put back into the community for things such as: promoting downtown Columbus, Afternoon Tunes, the Columbus Christmas Parade and other annual community events like Wassail Fest.

Main Street Director, Amber Murphree said, "I am proud to say I have the opportunity to work with such great people. When we can all stand back and say look what we did for our community and you see the smiles on everyone's faces it makes it all worth it."
