selected for National Committee Assignment
SHRM School-to-Work Committee unanimously selects Columbus businessman
for membership.
Columbus,
MS; July 12, 2001: Danny W. Avery, SPHR, Managing Partner of SmithAvery
& Associates, a division of The CPI Group, Inc., has been selected
for membership on the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM)
national School-to-Work committee. This
committee's mission is to enhance the school-to-career efforts
of students in order to build the skills needed by business through
encouragement and involvement with SHRM staff, members, chapter
and state councils in local and state education initiatives.
Avery currently serves as the Northern District Director of the
Mississippi SHRM State Council, and is the State School-to-Work
Coordinator. A past President of the Golden Triangle Human Resource
Association, he is actively involved in professional human resource
management activities state-wide.
