The CPI Group Hosts Speaker Billy Sims At Local GTHRA Meeting

Columbus, MS - The CPI Group provided the speaker for the Golden Triangle Human Resource Association (GTHRA) on Tuesday, November 17, 2009. Mr. Billy Sims, SPHR, CCP, CBP who brings 30 years of Human Resource experience, spoke to the group of HR professionals regarding Human Resource Leadership and Change.  Mr. Sims started off with an eight minute video that spoke about how our country experiences on going change with every minute of every day. This led into his discussion on how today's Human Resource professionals wear many hats and are involved with several aspects of a companies business where in the past may have only been utilized for hiring and terminations. A good Human Resource department can provide insight to leadership with changing laws and government compliance, training on how to work better with the varied generations that are a part of today's workforce, leadership development and motivational ideas to keep corporate goals in the work place successful. Mr. Sims delivered his information with a touch of humor along with his professionalism.
