Columbus Based Firm Lands On Prestigious List Again

Columbus, MS - On Thursday, October 18th, 2007, The CPI Group, Inc. of Columbus, Mississippi, was recognized at an awards luncheon hosted by the Mississippi Business Journal, KPMG, and Watkins Ludlam Winter & Stennis for the "Fast 40" Program. The "Fast 40" is one of the state's most prestigious recognition programs for business, honoring Mississippi's fastest-growing private companies. Out of the thousands of entries submitted from within the State, The CPI Group, Inc. was awarded an outstanding, and unprecedented, 3rd place honor.

"If it is amazing success stories you like, the Fast 40 is the place to be," said Ron Jones, Publications Director/General Manager of the Mississippi Business Journal, which co-sponsored the event. Qualifying companies are ranked based on revenue growth over a three-year period. All revenue figures are subject to verification, and will be held in the strictest confidence by the accounting firm KPMG, LLP, and the law firm of Watkins Ludlam Winter & Stennis, PA both of which are co-sponsors of this year's Fast 40 program.

To be eligible for the bi-annual Fast 40 program, companies must be independent and privately held; have revenue of at least $1 million in 2006 and have three complete years of operations; and, have its home office and principal place of business in Mississippi.
