| Will I be charged a fee if a client of The CPI Group, Inc. hires me?
The CPI Group is paid by our clients to help find them the best candidate for their opening. So, no, you will not have to pay any form of a fee to have The CPI Group work with you.
Why have you not called me when I am qualified for the positions you have available?
Most often this is due to an incomplete application. Our software is designed to search for information listed in your application. If you have not listed the information we are searching for it is impossible to match you with that job order. Also, our clients are often very specific as to what they are looking for (i.e. years exp., software skills, education, etc.). When this happens we are only able to submit candidates with the requirements they have requested. The best way to be called on a regular basis is to make sure your application is filled out as completely as possible.
Why do you need my supervisor's phone numbers?
The CPI Group uses a performance-based hiring model. We believe the best way to predict a person's future performance is to look at performance in the past. When CPI submits a candidate to one of our clients for consideration there are many steps we take to make sure this candidate is a good fit for our client. One of those steps is calling and speaking to your past employers. We are then able to verify your work history with them. Our clients not only expect us to find applicants with the skills they request but to find the best applicant for their position. A full work history and background check is required on all applicants before they are submitted for review. If information surfaces that would disqualify this person from the position we may not be able to submit them.
How old do you have to be to apply?
Because of the many types of companies The CPI Group, Inc. works with we are able to help anyone who is over the age of 16.
Why can't you reveal the name of the companies with openings?
Our clients ask us to keep their identity in confidence until they are ready to interview an applicant. We have found this to work well for them, as they do not want to deal directly with an applicant until the interview process begins.
How long will my application stay active? Do I need to update it periodically, and if so, how should I do that?
Your application will remain on file for approximately six months. After that period of time we will ask you to complete another for our files.
