Billy Sims, SPHR, CCP, CBP

Billy Sims, a 30-year Human Resources industry veteran, is accredited by the Human Resources Certification Institute as a Senior Professional for Human Resources (SPHR) and is also accredited by WorldatWork as both a Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) as well as a Certified Benefits Professional (CBP). Billy's areas of expertise and development training workshops, among others, include: Interviewing/Recruiting and Retention, Compensation Administration, Management Development, Benefits Administration, Performance Appraisals and Human Resources Audits.

Billy is a member of the Society for Human Resources Management (SHRM) and has served as President of the Capital Area Human Resources Association (CAHRA) in Jackson, Mississippi. He was also involved in the chartering of the State Council comprised of representatives of each local chapter from around the state. He has also served as the State Director for the State of Mississippi for SHRM and currently serves on several national committees related to Human Resources, Compensation and Benefits. He was chosen as the Mississippi Human Resources Professional of the year in 2004.

Billy is able to present both the technical aspects of human resource management as well as the leadership skills training needed to effectively lead an organization. He has been a lead consultant for school systems, industrial contractors, start-up companies, economic development organizations and multi-billion dollar financial institutions. In addition, Billy joined The CPI Group, Inc. in 2003 as a consultant and is now the Senior Associate for Consulting and Training for CPI.
