Job Duties

A heavy equipment operator is needed to work for a facility in Ackerman, MS. In this position, the operator will be driving large, over-burden trucks. While the facility is 24/7, this position will require employees to work 12-hour split shifts.

This is a six-month assignment with the opportunity for full-time employment at the end of the contract. Vacation time and a $500 retention bonus are available.

Pay will start at $15.75 per hour with a pay increase to $20.25 after 260 hours worked.

Qualifications

A heavy equipment operator must have a high school diploma or equivalent, two years’ experience operating off-road equipment, as well as a valid driver’s license and an M.V.R. will be conducted. You must be able to perform proper equipment start-up and shut down procedures and be able to operate within an acceptable range of all gauges on instrumentation panels.

Applicants will also be required to complete a physical demand assessment and submit to a national background check.
